When should I schedule care? 

When you have been instructed by your veterinarian to administer medications or treatments to your pet that you need help doing.

What services are provided?

Help with your veterinarian’s at-home instructions for your pet. Instructions from your veterinary office are required before scheduling care visits. Contact to get started.

Can I call for care if my pet is acting sick? 

First, seek care at a licensed veterinary facility. From there, aftercare may be provided by Helping Paws Chicago, LLC based on your veterinarian's at-home instructions. 

How much does care cost?

Each pet’s situation is unique. Pricing is determined on several factors such as the level of care/coaching required, frequency & duration of visits and travel time, etc. Contact for a free video chat and estimate.

What are your care hours? 

Hours are upon request & availability.

Can I cancel care visits? 

Yes. Visits may be cancelled 24 hours or more in advance of the scheduled appointment time. If a visit is cancelled within 24 hours, the contracted services will be billed in full.

Is dog walking/pet sitting service available? 

Though pet sitter support is available, pet sitting is not an offered service. Helping Paws Chicago’s services are centered around education and coaching to help pet owners become comfortable with changes in their pets’ home care needs.

Is pet grooming part of your services? 

Helping Paws Chicago provides basic grooming services such as nail trimming, sanitary clipping, mat shaving, and ear cleaning.

What forms of payment are accepted? 

Helping Paws Chicago currently accepts cash (exact change, please), check, all major credit cards, Zelle, and Venmo. Zelle is preferred. An additional 3.8% is added to all transactions.

When is payment due? 

Payment is due at the time of service.

Are services purchased refundable? 

There is a 24 hr cancellation policy. No refunds granted for cancellations made within 24 hrs of the scheduled appointment time.
